September 30, 2017 @ 2:00 pm - October 2, 2017 @ 1:30 pm

Join this 3-day return bike ride as part of the days of action for indigenous rights, climate justice and protection of our Salish Sea against the capitalist/industrial pressures threatening to turn this coast, home of the Coast Salish nations since time immemorial, into a lethal fossil fuel highway. To that we say: No way! No consent, no pipelines on stolen Indigenous lands!!!

We will be cycling from Victoria, Lekwungen territory ( Recyclista bike shop) 2 pm on September 30th en route to our camp spot at Gulf Islands National Park Reserve near the ferry. On day 2 we will board the 8 am ferry to Tsawassen and cycle for 2 hours to Peace Arch Park, Semiahmoo Territory to join with an indigenous-led walk from Lummi territory in Blaine Washington and rally for protection of the Salish Sea from tar sands fossil fuel expansion and LNG, further threatening the life of this coast and the world’s rapidly destabilizing climate and all the human and nonhuman communities at risk.

We will be camping near Peace Arch on the night of October 1st and on October 2nd, either jumoing on the shuttle provided by RedLine Sefvices, taking public transit from the nearest Sky Train station or for those wishing to continue the ride to the Courthouse downtown Vancouver to jpin a mass rally in support of the nations, municiplaities, the BC government and engos fighting Kinder Morgan in court on the first day of the historic trials assserting indigenous rights and title over Kinder Morgan’s ill-conceived $7.5 billion tar sands pipeline.
