Join us on Monday, October 2nd for a lunchtime rally in support of the FIrst Nations who will braving nine days of court to challenge the federal government’s approval of the Kinder Morgan pipeline.
The courts are located at 701 West Georgia Street,so we’ll be meeting outside the Pacific Centre Mall entrance on the corner of Georgia & Howe Street, kitty corner to the Vancouver Art Gallery,
Grand Chief Stewart Phillip will be our guest speaker for this respectful, positive show of solidarity for the Tsleil-Waututh, Squamish, Musqueam, Coldwater, Aitchelitz, Skowkale Shxwa:y Village, Soow Ahlie, Squiala, Tzeachten, Yakweakwioose, Skwah, Kwaw-Kwaw-Aplit & Ts’elxweyeqw Tribe et al (Sto:lo); Upper Nicola Band; and Stk’emlupsemc Te Secwepemc Nations, who are bravely leading this last legal line of defense against the Transmountain pipeline.
A tent and limited seating will be availalble for elders and others who require it.
