Summer Picnic! Saturday at 2pm at Trout Lake park
Building on the interest of the Intergenerational Activists Dinner held at the Unitarian church in January, let’s share a bit of food and continue the discussion about how to learn from one another across generations in social justice and resistance movements. We have many decades of experienced activists in our community who have generations of work that they have organized and many lessons learned, as well as many young organizers who have new ways of thinking about the work that we are doing, and a fresh pair of eyes on the world around us.
How do we share ideas and energize each other, learning from one another’s mistakes?
How do we connect across age gaps and beyond our normal social circles to build resillient and interconnected work?
This time we’ll meet outdoors at Trout Lake, sit on blankets, meet old and new friends, and talk about what direction we’d like these and future gatherings to take.
Please bring food to share 🙂
Rumour is that there may be some musical entertainment too!
