Jobird’s Soulicious Grooves rocks out to stop pipelines

March 4, 2017 @ 8:00 pm - 11:30 pm

Cumberland is a little town with a big soul. The town that hosts the Big Time Out is hosting a concert this Saturday night (March 4th) to raise funds for First Nations legal challenges to Kinder Morgan. Says organizer Joanna Finch, aka JoBird: “As I prepare to leave Canada I have one last thing to do: I am a fifth generation Vancouver islander with a passionate connection to the land and sea. I’ve been walking in peaceful protests since I was seven years old and using music as a means of social and environmental activism. The Kinder Morgan pipeline would be a dreadful mistake and I will do what I can to stop it. So I’m joining PULL TOGETHER to help raise money for my first nations friends behind this campaign to stop the Kinder Morgan Pipeline. I will be donating money from my concert on Saturday night and there will be a donation basket if anyone in the audience would like to contribute.”
