On Friday February 24th, I’ll be transforming into my seductive alter-ego, Miss Anne Throbb, and performing — for the first time ever — at Rent Cheque.
There will be high heels. There will be fishnets. It will be scandalous. It will make you blush.
And if Miss Anne Throbb wins, she’ll be donating the cash prize to support First Nations fighting the Kinder Morgan pipeline in court (via Pull-Together.ca).
She’s been practicing her moves, and she promises a strong performance — but the winner at Rent Cheque is decided by the audience’s cheering. If we want to make sure Miss Anne Throbb wins $$ for the Kinder Morgan fight, we need to pack the Astoria with her adoring fans.
Can you come? Good. Now invite all your friends to join this facebook event too.
Rent Cheque takes place on unceded Coast Salish territory.
Accessibility note: the Astoria is 19+. The venue is wheelchair accessible. Miss Anne Throbb has reluctantly agreed not to drench herself in Chanel No. 5 but she can’t speak for others at the bar.
