In celebration of Earth Day, Tofino is Pulling Together! The incredible Bonny of Clayoquot Action in Tofino BC has organized a fantastic week of Pull Together fundraising on the Pacific Rim, in Tla-o-qui-aht First Nations territory. Businesses are offering tours, selling microbrews, “surfing for salmon”, and serving up baked treats to defend the coast from Kinder Morgan. Tofino Chamber of Commerce applied to be an intervenor against KM, partly on the grounds that it would ruin their economy.  So Tofino means business when it comes to stopping pipelines and tankers!
