Toronto Pulls Together (and pulls pints!) with Hopposition Ale
It’s getting warmer outside, and you know what that means: sunshine, new flowers, and best of all – patio season!
This summer, Toronto350 is very excited to announce a partnership with Junction Craft Brewing and the launch of our new Hopposition Ale! Starting in June, portions of proceeds from beer sales will go directly to funding opposition to the Kinder Morgan pipeline, so drink up for Mother Earth!
Since the approval of the Kinder Morgan Trans-Mountain Expansion in the fall, Indigenous and environmental groups across Canada have been preparing to ensure this pipeline never breaks ground. Construction for the project is set to start in September of this year, and opposition to the project is ramping up, with some already dubbing it “Canada’s Standing Rock.” Join us in supporting Protectors on the frontlines of this struggle, defending our threatened air, land, and water.
As we know, water is life. And also – water is beer! If we poison our precious water, that means no more beer eh. And what would a true Canadian summer be without a cold craft brew in your hand?
On June 2, we will be holding a launch party for the Hopposition Ale at the Junction Brewery with crisp beer, delicious food, and great tunes! Save the date and join us. All you need to know is below:
WHO: You! Us! Everyone! Invite your friends on Facebook!
WHAT: Beer Launch Party
WHEN: June 2, 6:00-10:00pm
WHERE: 90 Cawthra Ave #101
WHY: Because it’s activism and beer – two perfect things!
Don’t forget to bring a friend! This is a perfect opportunity to get someone new involved in the climate movement and spread the word about rising opposition to pipelines not only in Canada, but across the world! We’re not alone in our fight, so let’s drink –oop – stand in solidarity.
See you there,
